Equipping, Discipling & Building Kingdom Relationships
Gretchen Cannon has been blessed to build an ongoing relationship with pastors, leaders, students and families in the Philippines through her partnership with Word Aflame Worship Center and WAWCI Leadership Training Center.
Even though she has known the leaders of WAWCI for decades, since Gretchen’s first ministry trip to the Philippines in 2023, that relationship has continued to grow through annual mission trips, youth camps, pastor and leadership equipping, Bible school graduations, community outreach and ongoing discipleship.
Her desire is not simply to come, hold services and leave. Gretchen wants to build lasting relationships, equip believers with practical tools, and help people experience the life of Jesus for themselves.
What We Do
While each trip looks a little different, Gretchen serves alongside local pastors and leaders through:
Youth Camps & Revival Services
Pastor and Leadership Trainings and Conventions
M28 Discipling & Equipping
Bible School Ministry
Local Church Services
School & Community Outreach
Prayer and Personal Ministry
Providing Bibles, Books & Discipleship Resources
Through these opportunities, Gretchen and the teams that travel with her teach on topics including Identity in Christ, Grace, Kingdom, hearing the voice of God, being a disciple of Jesus and discipling others.
More Than a Mission Trip
The heart behind her work in the Philippines is relationship.
Beyond the time spent together in person, Gretchen has continued discipling and equipping pastors from the Philippines throughout the year. The goal is to invest in leaders who can continue sharing what they receive with their local churches, families and communities.
We believe real transformation happens as people come to know Jesus more intimately, understand who they are in Him, and become equipped to help others do the same.
Looking Ahead
Returning in March 2027
Gretchen is scheduled to return to the Philippines in March 2027 to once again serve alongside our ministry partners, including participating in their annual youth camp and additional ministry opportunities.
We are grateful for every opportunity the Lord continues to open and look forward to seeing these relationships deepen in the years ahead.
